The Routes of History and Culture - Polish-Slovakian Bicycle Rides to Historic and Cultural Sites

There is a system of several walking trials, paths and roads, named after Cardinal Karol Wojtyła, and the Holy Father John Paul II which were once treaded by Cardinal Karol Wojtyła in the company of his secretary, Father Stanisław Dziwisz. There are also some tourist routes meandering trough the commune towards Turbacz and Babia Mountain. The picturesque landscapes of our region can be admired while travelling along these routes. There are also many well-known, not only in Poland, personalities born in the commune, which is friendly and open to all people.

The Project „The Routes of History and Culture - Polish-Slovakian Bicycle Rides to Historic and Cultural Sites” has been implemented by the Raba Wyzna Commune from 1st January to 31st December 2010. Bicycle paths were marked within the Raba Wyżna Commune and on maps. The historic and cultural monuments situated along these paths are now marked with information signs. &dbquo;Welcome” signs were sut up at the entrance roads to the commune.
